Pictures to treasure
Hampshire Family Photography

Lets freeze time. Just for a little while.

Why invest in a family photography session?

If you are anything like me, then time is going too quickly. You want your little loves to slow down, just a little, so you can really take it all in. I can’t stop time, but I can give you the next best thing – pictures to treasure and look back on to help you remember, in 6 months… 5 years… even 20 years time, when you are showing the grandkids how their Mummy and Daddy used to be just like them.

A family shoot never stops giving back. It is a celebration of your love on the best days and a reminder of that love on those tougher days (trust me, we all have them)

My sessions are tailored for you, making them as unique as your beautiful family and allowing you all to shine in your own way. Whilst I come with a plan, I’m led by you and your children, so even moment is genuine and real.

FAQ’S…

Here I try to cover the most frequently asked questions that I get. However if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, get in touch here and I’ll do my best to answer it for you.

Yes, I am fully insured. Let me know if you fancy some late night reading or need a copy for your venue.

Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and living in the UK means it is more than a little unpredictable. I will be weather watching in the days leading up to your shoot. We can discuss the options before the day of the shoot but here is a basic run down.

Embrace it – A bit of rain can be a lot of fun! Put on your wellies and get the brollies out, I will be right there with you.

Rearrange it – Check our diaries and reschedule. Keep fingers crossed it doesn’t rain again.

I promise whatever happens, we will get you those beautiful moments.

It is a big YES from me! Whatever your pet, I would love to include them in the photoshoot! I will give them many fusses for being such good boys/girls. (We would just need to check out chosen location is good with it too!)

(I will not fuss tarantulas, but they can still join in. It’s not that they aren’t good too, but they do have too many legs for me – sorry!)

I am child led during my sessions. I read their reactions, their emotions and their body language, and let them take charge on the shoot. Sometimes, they don’t want to be involved and that is fine. I will focus on the other people in the session and they (usually) start joining in. Or I may ask them to be my assistant and help me take your photos. I have lots of little tricks up my sleeve. Please don’t pressure them to join in/ smile etc, as it makes it so much harder for them to relax into it.

It has never happened, but if they really don’t feel it and I have no usable images whatsoever, I will offer you a reshoot.

If someone is poorly we can reschedule to a different day, when everyone is full of beans again. Please let me know at the earliest time you can.

If I am unwell in the lead up to, or on the day of the shoot, I will give you plenty of warning and we can reschedule. I will aim to get your shoot in as soon as I can for you.

It usually takes 4-6 weeks for me to finish with your photos. It can vary depending on time of year and how popular I am at that precise moment. I will let you know a better timeframe at the end of your shoot.

If you need your photos quickly, or you’re like me and a tad impatient, then a ‘Rush Me’ fee of £50 can be applied.

If they take a little time to come out of their shells, then trust me, that is fine. Please don’t pressure them to acknowledge me, look at the camera or smile if they do not want to, because that will make it much harder for them to relax. What usually happens with your first shoot – we meet and they are a little shy. I ask them lots of questions about their favourite things and soon they are chatting away no problem. I ask if they would like to play a game/go for an adventure and then we go from there. It has, on occasion, taken a little longer for them to get into it, but that is natural after the last couple of years we have had!

Fun for the kids!

“Crissi was lovely, it was very relaxed for us and fun for the kids who even got caught smiling! I would definitely recommend her for beautiful natural family photos.”
